Our law practice also includes serving as a panel attorney in Southern Nevada for the Western Conference of Teamsters Legal Services Trust Fund. The Trust Fund is a Group Legal Plan for union member employees of United Parcel Service. The Trust Fund is administered by Delta Fund Administrators, P.O. Box 2340, Stockton, CA 95201. The Group Legal Plan has certain eligibility requirements. You may contact us or Delta Fund Administrators directly to determine your eligibility and obtain a Summary Plan Description. The Summary Plan Description describes the wide variety of legal benefits provided at no cost to the employee participant. Coverage is available to regular full-time and part-time employees for the month two months after each month of work for which contributions have been paid to the Western Conference of Teamsters Legal Services Trust Fund in accordance with a collective bargaining agreement. In addition to employee participants, dependent spouses and unmarried children under the age of 19 of employee participants may also qualify for benefits.
How to Use the Plan:
1. Contact Us. You will need to provide us with your name, address, social security number and birth date. We will contact the administrator to verify eligibility.
2. Schedule an Appointment with Us to Discuss Your Legal Matter. At your initial appointment, we will provide you with a Legal Benefits Claim Form and Rights and Responsibilities Form to complete and sign. These forms will be used by the Group Legal Fund to pay your attorney for the benefits you use.
The legal benefits covered by the Group Legal Fund include Domestic Relations, Landlord and Tenant, Real Estate, Wills, Consumer Transactions, Termination of Joint Tenancies, and Representation at Administrative Proceedings. The Group Legal Plan may not be used to provide legal benefits for a business venture, any proceeding where the adverse party may be your employer or local labor union, or any health, welfare, or pension plan in which the employee participates. It also excludes cases that normally provide for a contingency fee such as accidents and negligence cases. It also does not cover felony cases or appeals.
